2008 University Admission Requirements--Prerequisites for many university programs will change as a result of revisions to the secondary school mathematics curriculum. All university-bound students in 2008 should view the requirements at http://www.electronicinfo.ca/2008/ as they contemplate their grade 12 course selections.

Specialist High Skills Major--Widdifield has been chosen as one of twenty-seven high schools in the province as a Specialist High Skills Major (SHSM) site. As one of three schools in Ontario to offer a SHSM program in Arts and Culture, WSS is launching into its second full year of highly specialized training and work experiences through co-op.  See a member of the Arts department or Student Services department for more details

Cyberbullying Project--The Widdifield family of schools is proud to be taking the lead on a cyberbullying project funded by the Ministry of Education. The focus of the program will be on parents, students, and teachers.

School Lockdowns--The purpose of a school lockdown at Widdifield is to ensure the safety of all students in the school. To this end, all students are under the direct supervision of teachers at all times during a lockdown.  More information about emergency response is available by contacting the school administration at 472.5711.
